I’m always on the look out for good slow cooker recipes, so this cookbook is going to come in real handy in my house!
In this 106 page cookbook, you’ll find breakfast, main and side dishes, appetizers, and dessert recipes. The recipes are spread out among the different holidays and I’m happy to say that there’s only a few recipes that have canned soup in the ingredients. I have nothing against cream of ____ soup. I actually have a few favorite recipes using them. But it’s refreshing to see some slow cooker recipes without it.
I have never made turkey legs in the slow cooker before, so I made the Easy Tender Turkey Legs on page 81. It really smelled like Thanksgiving when they cooked in the slow cooker! The turkey was falling off the bone and had lots of flavor! I would definitely make these again! This recipe was in the “Fall Celebrations” section of the book.
I love meat and gravy, so I tried the Oktoberfest Short Ribs on page 65. The meat came out tender and the gravy was tasty! This was another keeper from the “Fall Celebrations” section!
Here are a few more recipes I’m looking forward to making:
Liberty Brownie Squares
French Toast Casserole
Old-Fashioned Beef Brisket
Succulent Beef Tenderloin
Classic Green Bean Casserole
I love the variety of recipes in this cookbook! There are many beautiful photos and the ingredients are easy to find.
