Hey everyone,

Thanksgiving is coming way too fast for me.  I’ve been sick for a few weeks and feel so unorganized this year.  I just can’t seem to shake this darn chest cold!  I need to get this house in shape for company next week.  I’ll be hosting Thanksgiving dinner for about 15 people.  Luckily, I always have the day off before Thanksgiving to bake and prep ahead.

So what dishes am I responsible for this year?  Let’s see…a 25lb. turkey with bread stuffing, mashed potatoes, mashed turnip, boiled onions, cream cheese/olive stuffed celery sticks, gravy, pumpkin pie, chocolate cream pie, and probably my boys’ favorite cookie…Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies (below).  Thankfully, my family helps out with other dishes and desserts!

Are you hosting Thanksgiving dinner at your house?  What dishes are you planning to make?

I thought it would be fun if you could add your Thanksgiving recipes to my linky.  If you have any posts on how you decorate your table or home for Thanksgiving, add them as well!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Oh My a 25Lb. Turkey! thank goodness you have a couple days to prep lol I’ll be bringing the corn casserole, turkey (a small one-we don’t have many turkey eaters in the family! crazy!) stuffing, and the pumpkin pie. I really do love having a whole dedicating to cooking, baking and of course sharing the day with family : )

Jane – so glad to know you’re on your way up. What a bummer to be ‘down’ for so long huh? I’ve missed you! I love sooo many dishes this time of year, it’s really tough to get it all figured out, but I’ll add something to your linky when I do. Thanks – take good care!
