I like to get together with the girls and have breakfast or brunch. However, being that the weekends are always so busy I like to host it during the week. It’s while the kids are in school so the ladies get to sit around, enjoy good company, delicious food, and a warm cup of Lipton Tea. Normally I’m a big coffee drinker, but there’s something about breakfast/brunch that I like to have tea instead. My grandmother is a big tea drinker; she loves the flavored ones and now she has me hooked on them too. I buy Lipton because they always have a large variety of black teas, green teas, and herbal teas so there’s always something for everyone! The multi-sensory teas refresh standard tea time, creating an exciting and unique tea-drinking experience.
Having a nice breakfast or brunch is the perfect time to bring out the good china. Everything matches, including the serving dishes, and we also bring out the cloth napkins too. I put on a few boxes of flavored tea (Lemon Ginger, Mango Peach, Amazingly Grey, Purple Acai Blueberry, and Enticing Chai), some hot water, sugar, cream, and then all we need is the food. Everything always looks so pretty!
When I choose the food, I like to make stuff that can be made ahead of time, like waffles, pancakes and sausage. This allows me to prepare the food before the guests arrive, keep it warm, and then all I have to do is serve it when we’re ready. This way I am not stuck in the kitchen while my guests are waiting for me to finish. I want to enjoy the party too so this makes it much easier on me.
Once we sit down and the conversations start going the time seems to fly by! We always have so much to catch up on, and even though we’d like to get together every week, it’s not possible so I cherish the time we do have together. Breakfast or brunch is the perfect way to spend time with family, friends, and Lipton Tea.
