During the holidays I like to give the kids a little break and allow them to eat what they want, however once they’re over it’s time to get back on track.  That means we’re back to packing lunches without the cookies or chocolate!  My youngest packs his lunch every day so I have to make sure I’m packing food that not only tastes good, but it’s good for him too.  He’s not a big fan of bread either so that makes it even more of a challenge.  Thankfully my local Food Lion has Hillshire Farm® Naturals; they contain no artificial ingredients, preservatives, colors, or added nitrites/nitrates.  We’ve tried all four flavors: Slow Roasted Turkey Breast, Honey Roasted Ham, Hardwood Smoked Turkey Breast, and Black Forest Ham which we enjoy all of them.  If you’d like to try them too, right now you can save $1.00 at any Food Lion, but hurry it expires 2/06/16!

One of his favorite lunches is actually one of the easiest to make.  It consists of three ingredients and only takes a matter of minutes to make!  With four kids, I know I’m always looking for delicious and easy to make meals since the mornings can be quite hectic.

You start with the Hillshire Farm® Naturals Black Forest Ham, some pickles, and some cheese.

I take a piece of ham and fold in the edges, then place a piece of pickle and a piece of cheese on top.

Wrap it up tightly and you have Ham, Cheese Pickle Roll-Ups…one of the easiest and tastiest lunches!  You can even add a squirt of mustard in there too.  It’s a great-tasting and wholesome lunch he will actually eat and enjoy!
