Wow! This weekend flew by fast for me! On Saturday, I traveled on a bus to NYC with my Sister-in-Law Gail! It was about 4 1/2 hours down and back. I saw my first Broadway Show – WICKED! It was so much fun! The performance was truly outstanding! When the show was over, we had a back stage tour! Gail and I took a picture with a few members of the cast but they didn’t come out too good. The flash was not on! 🙁 Here are the best photos that I took after I figured that out.
The Gershwin Theatre
Jackie Burns (center) played Elphaba the green witch! She warmly greeted us back stage. The children posing with her were on the tour with us. Check out this video of Jackie Burns and Chandra Lee Schwartz (who played Glinda) in Wicked!
Chandra Lee Schwartz’ dressing room!
In the center, handsome actor Richard H. Blake (who played Fiyero) talks to several people on a tour. The woman in the pink shirt was the one that took us on the tour. She’s the understudy for Elphaba!
A view from the stage
We saw lots of costumes!
Our day ended at Bryant Park where the bus picked us up. It was the perfect time to see the outdoor ice skating rink and big Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center. It was absolutely beautiful!
Have you ever seen WICKED?
