Party Kielbasa

When I posted my Link Up!  The Theme is…Super Bowl Food! this week, I realized I’ve been skimping on appetizers around here.  So here is my “go to” recipe that we enjoy for football games, get-togethers, and holidays.  Many years ago, my sister Michele brought this to a family gathering and it has been a favorite ever since.  You can find this recipe in my cookbook.

I use Lite Polska Kielbasa to save on fat and calories, but you can take your pick from the many different varieties of kielbasa.  If you make this for a big party, double the recipe.  I bake it and then transfer it to my crock pot (on the buffet setting) to keep it warm at a party.

I like this recipe because it freezes well (uncooked).  Simply mix all of the ingredients in a gallon-size freezer bag, remove as much air as possible, seal, and label with directions.

MMMMMM! This sounds – and looks – wonderful! My hubby doesn’t care for the BBQ taste, but my kids would love this as well. So glad you shared – would definitely be a hit to enjoy during the big game! Enjoy a Super weekend Friend!

This looks so yummy. I’ve made a version where it calls for equal parts jelly and bbq sauce.

My husband and son would LOVE this dish! What a great idea for an afternoon of football watching. I love things like this that could be made in advance and kept warm while serving guests. I’ll definitely make this one soon. Have a super weekend!! And thanks for linking to Saturday Swap!

What a great idea since those mini wieners are always gone when I think of making a dish like this. I always have some kielbasa in the fridge! Thanks for linking to Hunk of Meat Monday.

Sounds tasty! Similar sweet & sour to the grape jelly/chile sauce recipe that my SIL likes to make. Thanks for sharing!
