Slow Cooked Pulled Beef Sandwiches

I’d like to thank everyone who added a recipe to my Slow Cooker Recipe Linky! All of your recipes look so yummy!  The Linky is still open if you’d like to add your favorites! I’m on a mission to get more use out of my slow cooker.  I knew I couldn’t go wrong with this recipe because Andrew (my 16 year old) loves Pulled Pork Sandwiches, so surely he’d like it with beef!  Right?  Yep!  He did!  I made sure to use his favorite smoky barbecue sauce and added some Chili powder for good measure!  It came out great!  I seriously wanted a second one!  But I didn’t!  :) I wish I could send some of this to my son Matthew in NY.  He would love it!  I’ll have to make this again some time and freeze some small portions for him.  Matthew is getting ready to start his final semester of his senior year in college.  I’m hoping he comes home on his March break.  I miss that boy of mine!

    This slow cooked pork looks delicious. I can only imagine how much you can’t wait to see the smile on your sons face when he tastes this delicious pork. I know you look at their face when they are tasting something you have just prepared, you see their eye brows rise, then comes the, “um”. They look at you, smile and say, “Thats good.” I know, I have a son. You touched my heart. God Bless you, Catherine

      Yes, the pork does look great. Mmmm, pork. Pork is the best meat ever, and this pork you have made is fantastic. You sure know hot to cook pork. Good thing you didn’t use beef!

    This slow cooked pulled beef looks delicious! I will definitely try and make that for tomorrow night for the family.         Writing again to let you know that I went out to the market earlier today and bought 3lb of beef chuck roast… also bought Annie’s Natural Smoky Maple BBQ Sauce.. decided to give that a try.. hopefully it comes out delish!! Thank you again for posting this particular recipe.. it piqued interest when I started to read it and I was like “I HAVE TO HAVE IT!!!” so that’s what we’re having for dinner tonight :)

            Writing in again to let you know that this recipe is a KEEPER!!!! We will definitely make a lot of those in this household.. thank you soo much for this wonderful recipe :) I wonder what kind of sauce I should use if I wanted to give it a bit of a Mexican flavor (to use the shredded beef in burritos and such)… any ideas?

            There’s a lot of different BBQ sauces to choose from. How about if you add some ground cumin or chili powder to give it that Mexican flavor or add a little bit of minced jalapenos? You could also add some black beans at the end of the cooking time.

    I grew up on these, although when Mom made them, slow cookers hadn’t come out yet. But, she’d cook her roast until it fell apart and then add BBQ sauce and we’d feast for days!!

    My question now is where is that Linky to add slow cooking recipes?

    I’ve made this a while back and seeing this now makes me want to add it to my menu for next week! Maybe I’m revolting against this 8 inches of snow we just got!!!!

    Hey Jane! Thanks for linking up to Sunday Suppers again! I love my slow cooker for things like this, and some roasts, but I’m just not falling in love with it for a lot of other dishes. I need to go check out your linky for some inspiration!! I can’t believe you’re in for that much snow!! We’re cold down here – 36 right now – but nothing like that. Ready for spring!!

    This looks wonderful, Jane! Chuck is my favorite cut for the slow cooker…it’s always fork shred tender and melt in your mouth delicious. Your recipe sounds awesome…thanks for sharing it w/ the hearth and soul hop this week :D

    Darn it, now I wish I had some beef in the freezer, any beef really, but especially chuck roast, which is my favorite. I swear I’d take it over a steak any day. Something about tender, fall apart meat that gets me every time. Thanks for sharing with the Hearth and Soul hop.

    Made this for family dinner and it was fabulous. The flavor is awesome. I slow cooked it for 7 hours and the meat just fell apart. It is as good as the picture looks.
